Read Bottom Up by Neel Shah & Skye Chatham

January 14, 2016

Meet Madeline and Elliott, two New York City millenials just tryna make it in the dating world. Their mini love story is chronicled through text messages and e-mails to each other and to their respective best friends.

You know when stand up comedy has you laughing out loud because its just so true?  Read bottom up has the same effect.  Madeline's over-analyzing and Elliott's confusion made me lol. Their text message banter charmed me.  The flakiness and games frustrated me.  I nodded along to their best friends' attempts to repeatedly talk the two off the edge.

I particularly love that authors Neel and Skye both wrote their respective portions from the male and female perspective.  It certainly brings a realness to the character's thought processes and emotions.

I highly recommend this novel for your next beach/park/couch/dentist chair (anyone else?) read.  Its quirky and fun and you'll finish it within the day.  I give it five out of five stars.
