Ok ok ok ok ok ok I'm SO sorry for the super long hiatus. I always think no one reads this blog until someone tells me they do and then I get excited about it again.
THIS BOOK you guys . . . THIS BOOK WAS AN ABSOLUTE DELIGHT. Honestly, loved it and could not recommend it more. Its by the same author as My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She's Sorry (another great read . . . treat yo self). Bachman is a Swedish blogger turned author and his humor tickles me. He just knows exactly how to warm my heart. My heart felt toasty warm after I finished. I was misty eyed but warm hearted.
Ove is the grumpiest of old men. He has his routines and his rules and he's very unhappy. He's fairly done with life but just can't seem to die. Every time he tries he's distracted by his annoying (but ever so lovable) neighbors. The story flashes back and forth between Ove's life as a younger man and his life now. I started reading and hated Ove but I kept reading and my heart slowly melted in little tiny increments until it was a puddle on the floor of my loft.
I give this book five stars out of five. Read and enjoy.
