Ok, so just go ahead and pick your judgment up off the table and hide it in your pocket or purse or wherever because this book is actually a hilarious piece of chick lit. Frankly, I judged myself for even trying this book out. I thought to myself ... "come on Carly Gene (previously Hanson) Elliott ... what kind of idiotic trash are you paying money to read?! You could be reading Austen or something similarly worthy of a place of honor on your nightstand. Yet you're furtively carrying around this book from home to coffee shop because you're ashamed to be reading this junk."
But I was wrong. This book was pure entertainment from start to finish. The authors are Heather Cox and and Jessica Morgan, creators of the blog Go Fug Yourself. The book is a play on Kate and Prince William's relationship - if Kate were from America. Main characters Bex and Nicholas meet while Bex studies abroad at Oxford - drama and hilarity ensue.
Once I realized this book wasn't just fan fiction about Kate Middleton and Prince William, I enjoyed it immensely. This is the perfect breather book between two heavier pieces of literature. It was funny and fun and never boring. I give it five stars out of five.
